Mime Types

Sometimes, when you open a document from the repository, Goozzee doesn't know which application should be launched to open this file. To avoid this, a little File Types management system has been added inside of Goozzee.

Whenever you try to open a file whose type is unknown, Goozzee asks you which application it should associate with it. The "File Type/Application" association is then saved locally, in the Goozzee configuration file. This way, each user can have his/her own preferred applications, depending on the PC he/she's using. What's more, these preferences have precedence over the operating system's default Mime Settings. To be able to add, delete or modify your Mime preferences, a little widow can be used. It is launched from the Admin menu.

All the operations on this dialog are done via a contextual menu that appears when right-clicking one of the lines of the grid.
Mime Types
Before saving, the program checks for empty cells in the grid, non-existing applications, and duplicate file types. The faulty lines appear in red, and a status bar appears, explaining what has to be corrected.
